TPF Recruitment is seeking a Bookkeeper and Payroll Advisor to join its Marlborough office. The role balances bookkeeping and payroll duties for owner-managed businesses, offering regular client work in a client‑facing, relationship‑driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have bookkeeping and payroll experience, plus a good understanding of VAT and payroll legislation. Prior experience in an accountancy practice or payroll bureau is preferred.

Qualificações

• Previous bookkeeping and payroll experience.
• Accountancy practice or payroll bureau experience preferred.
• Strong VAT and bookkeeping knowledge.
• Familiar with payroll legislation and workplace pensions.
• Experience using bookkeeping and payroll software.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organised and deadline-driven.
• Confident communication with clients.

Responsabilidades

• Completing bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers.
• Processing bank transactions and completing reconciliations.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Calculating statutory payments, pensions and deductions.
• Preparing payslips and payroll reports.
• Managing starters, leavers and changes to employee details.
• Completing relevant payroll submissions.
• Responding to bookkeeping and payroll queries.
• Liaising with clients and colleagues to ensure deadlines are met.
