[Unknown] is seeking a Bond and Excise Compliance Manager to own excise compliance for a UK bonded warehouse. The role involves maintaining duty-suspended stock records, managing HMRC visits and ensuring accurate duty calculations and EMCS movements.

You will oversee compliance across cruise lines, airlines and third-party brands, with site-based work in South Hampshire. The position requires proven HMRC-experience in a bonded warehouse, strong audit discipline, and the ability to train teams

Competenze

• Experience in an HMRC-approved excise (bonded) warehouse in the UK with duty-suspended wines and spirits.
• Owns responsibility for duty-suspended stock records and reconciliation, including investigating losses and discrepancies.
• Hands-on EMCS movements experience and excise returns and alcohol duty payments.
• Knowledge of Excise Notice 197 and warehousekeeper obligations.
• Understanding of alcohol duty calculation on wines and spirits by strength (Aug 2023 rules).
• Experience with HMRC visits, audits or assurance reviews.
• Ability to explain excise/export requirements to colleagues and customers.

• Be the compliance authority for the bond and main HMRC liaison.
• Ensure returns, duty payments and EMCS movements are accurate and timely.
• Reconcile duty-suspended stock by owner and product and maintain accurate records.
• Help connect bonded systems to ERP platforms and train the team.
