Bacardi in the UK is seeking a Centre of Excellent Customs & Excise Manager to lead the UK C&E function, ensuring compliant operations across distilleries, logistics and production while aligning with global trade strategies. You will provide technical expertise, manage HMRC interactions, and drive governance, training, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge or experience in Customs & Excise with UK regulations.
• Experience managing customs & excise processes in manufacturing or logistics.
• Experience with HMRC authorisations, audits, compliance reviews, and reporting.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the UK Customs & Excise function to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to operational teams on customs and excise requirements.
• Develop and maintain customs policies, procedures, and controls.
• Act as primary contact for HMRC and other authorities, managing inquiries and audits.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement process updates.
• Collaborate with distillery, supply chain, logistics, finance, and planning to embed excise considerations.
• Oversee authorisations, duty relief programmes, and documentation records.
• Lead internal audits and corrective action plans.
