Bonded wines and spirits compliance manager role in South Hampshire, with salary £52,000–£58,000 DOE, on-site, Monday–Friday and benefits. You will own excise compliance, manage HMRC interactions, and oversee stock records, EMCS movements and duty payments.

The role also includes onboarding third-party bonded customers, guiding exports/imports, and leading a small team. Relocation considered for the right candidate.

Formación

• Experience in an HMRC-approved excise (bonded) warehouse in the UK holding duty-suspended wines and spirits.
• Personal responsibility for duty-suspended stock records and reconciliation, including investigating losses.
• Hands-on experience of EMCS movements and excise returns and alcohol duty payments.
• Working knowledge of Excise Notice 197 and warehousekeeper obligations.
• Understanding of how alcohol duty is calculated on wines and spirits by strength under 2023 rules.
• Experience of HMRC visits, audits or assurance reviews.
• Ability to explain excise and export requirements to colleagues and customers.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the compliance authority for the bond and maintain HMRC relationships, audits and assurance reviews.
• Ensure accuracy of duty-suspended stock records and reconciliations by owner and product.
• Oversee EMCS movements, returns, and duty payments; ensure compliant releases for cruise, airline, exports and group orders.
• Onboard new third-party bonded customers, set up documentation and service terms, and manage those relationships with KPIs.
• Lead a small team and connect the bonded system with the group ERP platform.
