Job description

Ocean Group Plymouth is looking for a Bodyshop Workshop Controller.

Your role

You will have proven skills by working methodically and accurately ensuring your team provides the highest level of service to our customers. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop and ensuring the repair technicians achieve their daily targets. Your responsibilities will also include:

  1. Coordinating work amongst the team of Technicians.
  2. Motivating and encouraging the technical team to complete work within given timeframes.
  3. Inspection and quality control of every job completed.
  4. Liaising with Service Advisors throughout the day to update them on the progress of work.
  5. Speaking with customers as required.
  6. Checking of parts deliveries and ensuring the allocation to the correct job.
  7. Paint and consumables stock control.

Your profile

You will have the following experience and skills:

  1. Experience in a main dealer environment.
  2. Strong industry knowledge.
  3. Aptitude for multi-tasking.
  4. An eye for detail.
  5. Ability to work under pressure.
  6. Quality awareness.
  7. Communication skills.
  8. Full driving licence.
  9. Strong character.
  10. Good organisational skills.

Rewards

Your hard work will be rewarded with an uncapped bonus scheme, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays per year, pension scheme, subsidised manufacturer car purchase scheme available to both you and your family, and access to training courses at the BMW Training Academy.

Basic Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience plus an uncapped bonus with an OTE of £36,000.
