Job description

Service Team Manager/ Workshop Controller
Location:Billacombe Road, Plymouth
Hours:Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 18:00 (1-hour lunch), plus Saturday AM on a rota
Salary:£29,500 per annum, OTE £37,500

About the Role

This is a dual role based at our brand-new BYD/Tangelo site in Plymouth, combiningService Team Managerresponsibilities with elements ofWorkshop Controllerduties. Initially, customer interaction will be limited but will increase as the business grows.

Your primary focus will be running the workshop and dealing with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure ‘Fix First Visit’ success on every customer vehicle
  • Monitor and manage workshop loading to maintain productivity
  • Allocate work efficiently to technicians and monitor progress
  • Maintain quality control and compliance across all workshop operations
  • Adhere to Vehicle Health Check (VHC) processes and documentation
  • Ensure timely delivery of customer vehicles to a high standard
  • Manage and maintain high-quality technical information and standards
