Job summary

JDR - Just Dynamic Recruitment is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Technician for a busy automotive business in Bury. This role starts as a 12-week temporary period with a view to a permanent position.

You will restore vehicles to a high standard in a fast-paced workshop, performing cosmetic and body repairs to prepare vehicles for customer collection and resale.

Qualifications

• Experience in bodyshop, SMART repair or vehicle refurbishment.
• Knowledge of automotive repair techniques.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Capable of working in a busy workshop and meeting deadlines.
• Awareness of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out minor bodywork repairs on cars and light vehicles.
• Repair scratches, dents, scuffs and paint damage.
• Refurbish alloy wheels and perform touch-up work.
• Prepare panels and vehicles for painting.
• Complete cosmetic repairs to a high standard.
• Work efficiently to timescales.
• Support workshop improvements and keep area clean.
• Conduct quality checks before vehicles leave.

Bodyshop Technician

Bury - Temp to Perm

Hours of work Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (42 hour week)

Rate of pay is dependent on experience, ranging from £13.17 to £15.91 per hour. Higher rates are available for candidates with relevant bodyshop or vehicle repair experience.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bodyshop Technician to join a busy automotive business based in Bury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with vehicle repair and refurbishment experience looking to secure a permanent position following a successful 12-week temporary period.

You will be responsible for restoring vehicles to a high standard, ensuring they are prepared for customer collection and resale. Working within a fast-paced workshop environment, you'll carry out a range of cosmetic and body repairs while maintaining excellent quality standards.

Duties Include

• Carrying out minor bodywork repairs on cars and light vehicles
• Repairing scratches, dents, scuffs and paint damage
• Alloy wheel refurbishment and touch-up work
• Preparing panels and vehicles for painting
• Completing vehicle cosmetic repairs to a high standard
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and within agreed timescales
• Supporting workshop improvements and maintaining a clean, safe working area
• Conducting quality checks before vehicles leave the workshop

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within a bodyshop, SMART repair or vehicle refurbishment environment
• Good knowledge of automotive repair techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work in a busy workshop environment and meet deadlines
• Awareness of health and safety procedures
