Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Technician for a busy automotive business in Bury. The role involves restoring vehicles to high standards and preparing them for customer collection and resale, within a fast-paced workshop.

You will perform cosmetic and body repairs, maintain quality, meet deadlines, and contribute to workshop improvements. A permanent position follows a 12-week temporary period, with opportunities for training and long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in a bodyshop, SMART repair or vehicle refurbishment environment.
• Good knowledge of automotive repair techniques.
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to work in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out minor bodywork repairs on cars and light vehicles.
• Repairing scratches, dents, scuffs and paint damage.
• Alloy wheel refurbishment and touch-up work.
• Preparing panels and vehicles for painting.
• Completing vehicle cosmetic repairs to a high standard.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• Supporting workshop improvements and maintaining a clean, safe working area.
• Conducting quality checks before vehicles leave the workshop.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bodyshop Technician to join a busy automotive business based in Bury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with vehicle repair and refurbishment experience looking to secure a permanent position following a successful 12-week temporary period.

You will be responsible for restoring vehicles to a high standard, ensuring they are prepared for customer collection and resale. Working within a fast-paced workshop environment, you'll carry out a range of cosmetic and body repairs while maintaining excellent quality standards.

• Previous experience within a bodyshop, SMART repair or vehicle refurbishment environment
• Good knowledge of automotive repair techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work in a busy workshop environment and meet deadlines
• Awareness of health and safety procedures
