Job summary

Hartwell Motor Group in Scunthorpe is seeking a fully skilled Bodyshop Vehicle Painter with at least 3 years’ experience in a busy bodyshop. You will carry out refinishing, prepare vehicles for respray, mix paints to match colours, and plan work to meet customer deadlines.

The ideal candidate will be independent yet a team player, highly organised, with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a busy bodyshop.
• Experience in vehicle refinishing and paint preparation.
• Ability to mix paint to match colours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle body refinishing efficiently.
• Prepare vehicles to be resprayed and mix paint for colour matching.
• Plan work to meet promised timelines.
• Apply repairs according to manufacturers' specifications.
• Refinish to first-time quality.
• Quality control own work before QC check.
• Work at 100% efficiency.

Salary: £50000 OTE

We now have an opportunity for a Bodyshop Vehicle Painter to join our team in Scunthorpe.

Key responsibilities of the Bodyshop Vehicle Painter:

• To carry out vehicle body refinishing in an efficient, skilful manner.
• Prepare vehicles to be resprayed, Mix paint to ensure correct colour matching.
• Plan work to ensure vehicles are ready when promised, in line with customer requirements.
• Use correct repair methods in line with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Refinish the vehicle right first time to eliminate wastage.
• Quality control own work for any defects prior to the vehicle going to be QC checked.
• Work over 100% efficiency.
