Job summary

Unify is seeking a Project Engineer in London to lead Building Management Systems (BMS) projects from design through completion. You will manage multiple concurrent schemes, engaging clients and forging long-lasting relationships while ensuring delivery on time and to budget.

We expect strong knowledge of building services and control systems, with proven communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. A customer-first mindset and hands-on P&L experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a technical role within the BMS sector.
• Strong knowledge of building services and control systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Commercial awareness – P&L, contract management, and cash flow.
• Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A customer-first mindset with a focus on delivering quality results.

Responsibilities

• Manage and engineer multiple concurrent BMS projects across London, working closely with clients, building long-term relationships and ensuring full satisfaction.
• Produce and submit technical documentation, equipment selections, and system operation descriptions.
• Coordinate project resources, including engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee project health & safety documentation and compliance whilst maintaining financial control of projects - P&L responsibility, invoicing, variations, and supplier negotiations.
• Ensure projects are fully documented, handed over, and reviewed post-completion.
