Job summary

RED ENGINEERING DESIGN LIMITED in London seeks a fully experienced Senior BMS Engineer to be based in our London office. You will support designs and specifications for new build projects, develop control system diagrams and review contractor proposals for compliance with specifications.

The role requires 5+ years at senior levels, strong knowledge of building automation, instrumentation, and network security, and ability to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Experience as a BMS/BEMS/Building Automation Consulting Engineer.
• Experience with building automation, instrumentation and monitoring systems.
• Ability to review contractor proposals for compliance with design specs and regulations.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of designs and specifications for new build mechanical and electrical installations in complex buildings.
• Produce points lists for Control Systems and write sequence of operation documents.
• Create plan drawings, schematics, network topology drawings and control diagrams.
• Produces early-stage reports for client sign-off during development of designs.
• Review contractor engineering proposals for compliance with design specifications and regulations.
• Carry out condition surveys and produce improvement reports.
• Represent the company at technical meetings with customers and design teams.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests and Integrated System Tests.
