Job summary

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Electronic Blood Tracking Lead (NHS AfC: Band 5) to oversee the EBTS across Norwich and Cromer Hospital. The role entails system maintenance, troubleshooting and validation to ensure high quality, safe patient care.

The post supports flexible and hybrid working within a large NHS trust committed to diversity and professional development. Training will be provided, with DBS checks and clear eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

• IT-based degree or equivalent experience in laboratory computer systems or a computing background.
• Experience with database applications and transfusion processes.
• Understanding of EBTS and related IT/clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead for the Haemonetics Electronic Blood Tracking System (EBTS) at NNUH and Cromer Hospital.
• Update policies and SOPs related to EBTS and maintain system compliance.
• Manage equipment and logging/tracking for loan devices.
• Interrogate databases to generate accurate reports and perform daily checks.
