Job summary

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a Senior Healthcare Technical Officer in Plymouth to act as the first point of contact for hospitals requesting emergency deliveries. You will ensure orders are entered and issued efficiently while performing technical tasks, monitoring storage temperatures, and assisting in staff training.

Based in the Devon and Cornwall region, you may collect products from donor sessions and support a range of duties in a manufacturing/logistics environment, with

Qualifications

• Experience supervising others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or similar IT tools.
• Level 4 science qualification or equivalent training is required.

Responsibilities

• Enter and issue hospital orders reliably for emergency deliveries.
• Train and develop new and junior staff.
• Handle blood bags and laboratory equipment, with manual handling up to 13 kg.
• Carry out routine technical and scientific tasks and support the team.
