Job summary

Cytiva, part of Danaher, is seeking a Scientist I to support basic complexity laboratory projects in Portsmouth. The role involves generation of test data for New Product Development and Manufacturing, reporting to the Manager, Fast Trak Validation Services, within Global Filter Performance and Lab Ops on-site in Harbourgate, Portsmouth.

Applicants should have a Biological Science background, lab techniques knowledge, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with PC-based software.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a Biological Science field.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and measurement methods.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Review job requests and safety data to understand testing requirements.
• Perform tests and record raw data on datasheets or electronically.
• Notify management promptly about delays, problems, or deviations.
• Review timelines and adjust schedules with laboratory management.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to support testing.
• Understand maintenance of systems (purchasing, calibration, inventory).
