Job summary

Swansea BayUniversity Health Board is seeking a Biomedical Scientist to provide a continuous, comprehensive Cellular Pathology service, undertaking routine and specialised histology techniques as directed by Section Managers and rotating duties as required.

You will maintain professional development and competency, support staff training, and comply with Health and Safety regulations. Welsh language skills are desirable; Welsh speakers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Approved Biomedical Science Degree or other Science Degree with HCPC registration.
• Evidence of CPD
• Associate of IBMS

Responsibilities

• To undertake routine and specialised laboratory techniques in the processing of diagnostic Histology specimens.
• To undertake routine preparatory and interpretive techniques, performing technical duties to required standards under Health and Safety guidelines.
