Job summary

Swansea Bay University Health Board seeks a Consultant in Cellular Pathology to perform diagnostic surgical pathology and cytology across Morriston and Singleton sites, with autopsy optional. The role supports ARCH translational research initiatives and academic development within a nationally integrated pathology service.

You will be based in Swansea, operating under Welsh Consultants Contract, and dedicated to continuous improvement with CPD support and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Full and specialist registration with the GMC, or eligible for registration within six months of interview.
• holder of CCT or within six months of award by interview date; non-UK trained candidates must evidence equivalence to UK CCT.
• FRCPath or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose surgical pathology and cytology with optional autopsy; contribute to regional lymphoma and sarcoma diagnostics.
• Help develop and teach through ARCH and translational research initiatives; support CPD for colleagues and trainees.
