Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Biomedical Scientist turned Application Specialist to support NHS and private laboratories across the UK. You'll train, implement assays, troubleshoot, and ensure optimal performance of Abbott diagnostic systems, while travelling extensively and spending substantial time on customer sites.

Qualifications

• BSc in Biomedical Science or related field.
• Experience in a clinical diagnostic lab.
• Understanding of laboratory workflows and diagnostic testing.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer training and coaching on Abbott diagnostic systems.
• Support instrument installations and assay implementations.
• Troubleshoot application and assay issues at customer sites.
• Travel across the UK to support laboratories.
