Job summary

Abbott Diagnostics is seeking an AlinIQ InformaticsTechnical Specialist to deliver and support complex IT infrastructure solutions across Abbott's Digital Health applications. This field-based role involves full project lifecycle work from implementation to optimization and ongoing customer support.

Travel to customer sites is required up to 80%, with emphasis on strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration across teams to ensure laboratories maximise Abbott’s informatics platform

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IS/Medical Informatics or related field.
  • Technical understanding of IT systems in healthcare, diagnostics, or lab environments.
  • Experience installing, configuring, or supporting laboratory informatics systems (LIS, middleware, analyser management, inventory).
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and configure AlinIQ Digital Health applications per customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to validate technical needs.
  • Integrate software/hardware components and advise on appropriate infrastructure.
  • Deliver structured end-user training.
  • Provide post-implementation support and performance optimization.
  • Build strong customer relationships as a technical advisor.
  • Document updates and maintain project records.
  • Participate in customer meetings and internal sessions.
  • Support continuous improvement through feedback and enhancements.

About the Role

We’re looking for anAlinIQ InformaticsTechnical Specialistto deliver and support complex IT infrastructure solutions spanning Abbott's Digital Health applications.

In this field-based position, you’ll play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle — from implementation and configuration to optimisation, training, and ongoing customer support.

You will combine strong technical skills with excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities to ensure laboratories can fully leverage the power of Abbott’s informatics platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Implement and configure AlinIQ Digital Health applications in line with customer requirements

  • Collaborate with project teams to understand and validate technical needs

  • Integrate software and hardware components, recommending appropriate infrastructure where required

  • Deliver engaging, structured training to end users

  • Provide post‑implementation support, troubleshooting, andperformance optimisation

  • Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor

  • Track progress, document updates, and maintain accurate project records

  • Participate in customer meetings and internal team sessions

  • Support continuous improvement through customer feedback and solution enhancements

  • Travel to customer sites as part of role delivery (up to 80%)

What You’ll Bring
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Medical/Hospital Informatics, or a related field

  • Technical understanding of IT systems within healthcare, diagnostics, or laboratory environments

  • Practical experience installing, configuring, or supportinglaboratory informatics systems(e.g., LIS, middleware, analyser management, inventory systems)

  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively across teams

  • Proficiency with business applications such asMS Office,MS Project, orSmartsheet

  • Willingness to travel regularly and flexibly to support customer needs
