Job summary

Astute People seeks a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Northeast England/Scotland region for gas upgrading tech and related solutions. You will build and manage a high-quality UK sales pipeline and identify opportunities with AD owners, operators, developers and investors.

You will engage with senior decision-makers and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling commercial propositions.

Qualifications

• Experience in anaerobic digestion and biogas production.
• Strong commercial sense and ability to engage senior decision-makers.
• Experience building financial models and ROI assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop UK sales pipeline for gas upgrading technology, equipment and solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with AD owners, operators, developers, investors and energy businesses.
• Build relationships with business owners, MDs, Operations Directors, Technical Directors and other key decision-makers.
• Understand customers' requirements and develop valuable solutions.
• Conduct site visits and lead technical and commercial discussions with prospective customers.
• Develop commercial propositions including ROI analyses, financial models, and quotations with the support team.
• Manage opportunities through the full sales process from engagement to close.
• Develop opportunities in biogas upgrading, biomethane production, gas processing and renewable energy markets.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, project delivery and commercial teams to create credible solutions.
• Negotiate terms and coordinate contracts to secure orders.
• Maintain accurate CRM data and forecast pipeline.
• Represent the company at industry events to build visibility across AD and renewables sectors.
• Report customer feedback to feed into Product Team for future developments.
