Job summary

SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Plant Manager to lead the new anaerobic digestion facility near Goole, North Yorkshire. You will drive commissioning, start-up and handover, then take responsibility for safe, compliant operation and team development.

This is a hands-on leadership role shaping processes and procedures, building a team, and delivering reliable performance while managing feedstock, biogas production and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating in anaerobic digestion or similar process plants.
• Engineering or process qualification.
• Experience leading operations and maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of environmental permits and health & safety.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commissioning, startup and handover of the new AD plant.
• Manage day-to-day operations, safety, and performance.
• Lead operations and maintenance teams and develop staff.
• Optimise AD process to maximise biogas and availability.
• Manage feedstock handling, digestate processing and storage.
• Establish procedures, CMMS maintenance schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate reactive maintenance and contractors.
• Monitor KPIs and report on plant performance.
