Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in Elgin is seeking a Document Controller to join our Power Transmission and Distribution project team. The role focuses on governance and data flow using BIM360 and common data environments, with hybrid working (3 days on site in Elgin, 2 days from home).

You will deliver project information governance, train staff on BIM360, support quality audits, and ensure compliant information exchanges across the project.

Qualifications

• Experience with BIM360 Docs and common data environments.
• Ability to train and support project teams in BIM360.
• Liaise with Information Manager on quality audits.
• Ensure information exchange within the common data environment.

Responsibilities

• Work to the Project Information Plan and Asset Information Plan set out at project start.
• Assist with the set‑up of projects in BIM 360 NextGen (folders, user rights, workflows).
• Assist the Information Manager with BIM360 rollout and training.
• Support Document Control manager with BIM360 implementation on the project(s).
• Assist project team members in assembling information for outputs and reporting.
• Enable reliable information exchange through a common data environment.
• Coordinate information within the Information Model for better integration.
