Job summary

We are partnering with a Jersey-based client to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, ledgers, and supporting commercial decisions within a growing finance team located in St Helier, Jersey.

The successful candidate will bring ACA/ACCA/CPA qualifications or equivalents, strong accounting experience, and the ability to ensure compliance and performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in preparing accounts, ledgers, and supporting month-end/year-end processes.
• Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and ledgers.
• Support month-end and year-end close with accurate reporting.
• Assist in budget reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

This is a key finance role, offering the opportunity to support high-quality accounting and financial reporting while contributing to informed commercial decision-making. Our client is looking for someone who can bring strong financial insight and a solid accounting background to help drive accuracy, compliance, and performance.

Key Skills & Experience

• Financial Accountant - Experience in preparing accounts, managing ledgers, and supporting month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Financial Analyst - Ability to interpret financial data, produce analysis and reports, and provide meaningful insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decisions.
• Qualified Accountant - Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA) with strong technical skills, able to take ownership of complex accounting tasks and support compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Finance/Accounts - Broad exposure to finance and accounts functions, including reconciliations, journals, and financial controls within a professional environment.
• Jersey Experience - Please note that we can only accept applications from candidates who hold entitled/entitled to work residential status at this time.
