Are you ready to join our internal Accounts team as a Billing Assistant and work within a Professional Services environment? Rawlinson & Hunter LLP is looking for a dedicated Billing Assistant to join our dynamic Accounts team on a 6 month fixed term contract, with the possibility to go permanent. You'll be at the heart of our billing related matters and will liaise with stakeholders to maintain the client services and jobs within the Practice Management system.

What You’ll Do

  • Raise client bills for a selection of partners/managers
  • Analyse the WIP
  • Raise the bill in Word
  • Create draft emails to send to clients
  • Send via hyperlinks/attachments to the relevant partner/manager for approval
  • Liaise with stakeholders to maintain the client services and jobs within the Practice Management system (Practice Engine) to ensure that only relevant options are available to aid the billing process
  • General maintenance of data held on the system
  • Run various reports for internal departments
  • Assist in the month end reconciliations
  • In time, meeting with partners on aged WIP and determine whether it is fully recoverable
  • Liaise with credit control to process credit notes, invoices and write offs

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of billing in a professional services environment
  • Awareness of deadlines and ability to prioritise and be flexible if priorities change
  • IT literate, be able to use Excel/Word and ability to learn the Practice Management system
  • Organised due to the volume of work that flows through the department
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Be proactive and ask questions where necessary
  • Demonstrate professionalism towards stakeholders
