Job summary

KBM Resourcing invites applications for a Proposals Coordinator in Dundee. You will prepare and issue quotations in response to client enquiries, ensuring accuracy and alignment with pricing policies.

You will review technical specs, drawings, and commercial requirements, coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Finance, and track the quotation pipeline to meet deadlines and sales targets.

Qualifications

• Technical understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience in preparing technical and commercial quotations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and comfortable with web-based portals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue quotations in response to client enquiries.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and commercial requirements to ensure all bid elements are understood and addressed.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather information for accurate quote generation.
• Track and manage the quotation pipeline, ensuring all client requests are logged, followed up, and closed out in a timely manner.
• Liaise with customers to clarify requirements and provide updates on quotation status.
• Ensure compliance with bid preparation procedures and document control.
• Maintain records of quotations, pricing history, and client communications for audit and reference.
• Monitor quotation deadlines and prioritise workload to meet customer expectations and sales targets.
• Support sales and account management by providing accurate, timely documentation.
• Suggest process improvements to reduce inefficiencies in quotation handling.
