Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking a skilled Bid Engineer in the United Kingdom to prepare and submit high-quality bids in response to RFQs. You will work with stakeholders to ensure compliance, competitiveness, and on-time delivery.

The role requires experience in bid preparation and costing, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with a focus on accuracy, teamwork, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.
• Experience preparing bids, proposals, tenders, or cost estimates.
• Logical and commercially aware with good project costing understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and requirements to define bid scope and compliance.
• Coordinate bid activities across internal departments for timely proposals.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, pricing schedules, and commercial proposals.
• Submit tender documentation per customer requirements.
• Identify commercial risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.
• Maintain bid documentation and records throughout the tender process.
• Attend bid kick-off, clarification meetings, and presentations as needed.
• Assist with handover of successful bids to delivery teams after PO receipt.
• Ensure bids comply with procedures, quality standards, and regulations.
