Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead strategy and bid excellence across the North East & Yorkshire region. You will coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams and engage clients to secure opportunities, delivering robust cost plans and competitive tender submissions.

You will oversee design development, procurement, and risk management, ensuring compliance with governance and Building Safety Act requirements while driving continuous improvement in pre-construction

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pre-Construction Manager or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pre-Construction Director in delivering regional work-winning strategy and bid approvals.
• Lead client engagement and develop relationships to improve Galliford Try's competitive position.
• Oversee bid submissions, cost plans, pricing strategies and procurement with the Estimating team.
• Lead design reviews, value engineering and carbon reduction initiatives to develop deliverable solutions.
• Manage two-stage Pre-Construction processes, driving design development, cost certainty and programme to contract sum.
• Identify, quantify and manage risk and opportunity, leading risk workshops and governance documentation.
• Ensure governance, quality and Building Safety Act compliance in submissions.
