A leading company is seeking a Bid Manager to join their Naval Handling UK Global Sales Team. This role involves preparing bids, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with company goals. The successful candidate will have strong project management and communication skills, along with a solid engineering background. This position requires BPSS security screening and may involve additional clearance due to work with the MoD.
The Bid Manager is a key role within the Naval Handling UK Global Sales Team, reporting to the Director Naval Sales. In this role, you will collaborate closely with different areas of the business, including engineering and procurement, to ensure products are cost-effective and profitable.
The Bid Manager should have strong communication skills to work with and influence key departments and stakeholders, providing up-to-date costing and pricing information to the sales team. The role also involves reading drawings and technical documents and utilising computer software to calculate, prepare estimates, and finalise bids.
This role requires strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to deliver high-quality proposals. The Bid Manager ensures bids are compelling, compliant, and aligned with the company’s goals and client requirements.
