Bid Manager

About the role:
Reporting directly to our Chief Commercial Officer, this role is a key player in the engine room of our commercial success. You’ll take full command of the RFP lifecycle, lead the charge on commercial documentation and service offerings and quotes in addition to collaborating across teams to create persuasive, polished, and punctual submissions that win new business. We’re looking for someone with a sharp eye, a strategic mindset, and hands-on experience leading Oracle and/or SAP bids.

This full-time position is fully remote within the UK.
What you’ll be doing:
As the Bid Manager, you will:
- Own and manage the full bid and RFP process from opportunity qualification through to submission and post-submission follow-up
- Create and maintain commercial documentation, including sales documentation, proposals, quotes and pricing models
- Champion and drive the bid/no-bid process to prioritise high-value opportunities
- Generate client quotes and manage pipeline data using the companies CRM system
- Maintain and update the product list, working with key stakeholders to ensure information is current and relevant
- Own and manage our bid management software to ensure high-quality accurate data
- Drive continuous improvements across the bid function enhancing both win rates and efficiency
- Ensure full compliance with client requirements and internal governance
- Manage the procurement frameworks and portals.
- Keep updated with changes in the industry with regular meetings with the heads of departments and reviewing changes in the third-party support market to ensure we are update in our responses
What we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5+ years' experience in a Bid Manager, RFP Manager or similar commercial proposal role, ideally in a third-party support environment
- Strong experience in managing bids involving Oracle and/or SAP
- Proven experience with CRM and quote configuration systems in support of bid workflows
- Understanding of European sales market across the public and private sector – US market experience is a plus
- Experience using bid and proposal content management platforms
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality first time
- A highly proactive, organised and forward-thinking mindset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent written English skills, supported by a degree-level education or equivalent
- Strong leadership skills
