Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our North West Regional Build Work Winning team in Warrington. You will lead high-quality bid submissions and help secure new construction work, taking ownership of the bid process and coordinating with colleagues across the business to craft compelling proposals.

Your role includes appraising ITT/RFPs, organizing strategy meetings, developing bid responses, and presenting to clients.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree-level qualification in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (desirable).
• Experience managing a team in a bidding role and leading bid processes.
• Understanding of design and procurement processes and contractual matters.

Responsibilities

• Appraise ITT and RFPs to identify key risks and opportunities.
• Organise and lead bid strategy meetings, formulate bid programmes and manage the bid process.
• Lead development of bid responses that meet client expectations.
• Prepare presentations and attend client interviews.
• Develop alternative proposals including value engineering and optioneering.
• Contribute to planning, programming and construction methodologies.
