The role

As a Bid Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our business‑winning strategy—leading high‑impact bids that secure vital contracts across defence, aerospace and engineering. This is a dynamic and strategic role where your leadership will directly influence Babcock’s growth and market position. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape compelling proposals that make a real difference to our customers and communities.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll be :
  • Developing bid strategies, win themes, and value propositions that set us apart
  • Coordinating inputs from diverse teams and managing bid budgets effectively
  • Facilitating workshops, reviews, and customer presentations
  • Driving continuous improvement and promoting wellbeing across bid teams
  • Leading bid teams through capture and proposal phases to deliver winning submissions

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week with flexible working patterns available. Your hub will be determined based on your location.

Essential experience of the Bid Manager :
  • Proven experience in bid management and business winning methodologies
  • Strong understanding of capture phase activities and strategic planning
  • Demonstrated project management expertise
  • Ability to lead and motivate multi‑functional teams
  • Experience in service‑based industries
Qualifications for the Bid Manager :
  • Degree‑level education is desirable
  • APMP qualification is desirable
