Job summary

Office Angels is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to own the internal sales and bid function across the UK and Ireland. You will drive revenue growth by leading inside sales, proposal development and bid management, in collaboration with BD, operations and finance.

The role requires proven bid writing or commercial sales experience, strong communication, and a solid understanding of UK public sector procurement. Hybrid working in Lancashire with occasional travel is offered.

Qualifications

• Bid writing and/or commercial sales experience, ideally in the public sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of UK public sector procurement and portals.
• Experience with service contracts and/or capital sales.
• Strong commercial awareness including pricing and margins.
• Excellent organisation and project management with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to influence and coordinate colleagues without direct line management.
• Proficient IT skills: MS Office 365, CRM, e-procurement.
• Proactive, self-motivated and commercially focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound activity and inbound enquiries.
• Manage internal sales and proposal process, producing quotations and proposals.
• Develop/maintain sales pipeline with regular reporting and forecasts.
• Support pricing, quotations and appointments with the BD team.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts via renewals and cross-selling.
• Monitor public sector portals, frameworks and DPS opportunities in the UK & Ireland.
• Lead end-to-end tender process from bid/no-bid through submission and clarifications.
• Coordinate bid contributors across operations, finance, health & safety.
• Write and quality-check method statements and social value submissions.
• Maintain tender library and framework submissions.
• Monitor tender performance, win rates and pipeline value.
• Support market research, competitor analysis and sales campaigns.
