Job summary

Octopus Energy Group seeks a skilled bid analyst to drive the tender process for Octopus Electroverse and Octopus Fleet. You will partner with Business Development Managers to project-manage responses, ensuring cross-functional alignment and timely submissions across BD, Product, Operations, Finance and Legal.

You will analyse customer data and bid requirements to articulate a compelling value proposition, while maintaining a centralized repository of high-quality, reusable responses for

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in bid analysis, commercial operations, proposal management, or analytical commercial strategy.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written English.
• Collaborative mindset, partner with BDMs and cross-functional teams.
• Process-driven, excited to create templates, libraries and repeatable systems.
• Skeptical of AI and reliable with human verification of submissions.
• Analytical and numerically confident in using data to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Project-manage tender responses from intake to submission, coordinating BD, Product, Operations, Finance and Legal to meet deadlines.
• Analyse customer data and bid requirements to build data-backed narratives that highlight Octopus's value proposition.
• Curate and maintain an internal repository of verified, high-quality, reusable answers on product capabilities, security, SLAs, and terms.
• Manage the tender evaluation matrix to prioritize high-value, scalable opportunities and align with BD/commercial goals.
• Own the tender pipeline in CRM, track timelines, win/loss metrics, and drive post-bid debriefs for continuous improvement.
