Job summary

Ltek Recruitment Ltd in Leicester is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop bespoke machinery and automation solutions. You will create 3D CAD models, assemblies and drawings for manufacture.

You will design with manufacturability, reliability and cost in mind, collaborate with production, suppliers and other disciplines, and support projects from concept through to completion.

A Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience producing detailed drawings for manufacture and assembly.
• Experience designing industrial machinery and moving assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Developing 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Designing mechanical equipment incorporating moving components and mechanisms.
• Supporting projects from initial concept through manufacture, assembly and completion.
• Carrying out engineering calculations and selecting suitable materials and components.
• Preparing engineering documentation, bills of materials and technical information.
