Job summary

Rawlings & Oakes Industries Ltd in Devon is seeking a skilled joiner with 3–5 years of bench joinery experience and time-served wood machinist qualifications to join our workshop. You will cut out, mark out and machine sliding sash windows, casement windows, doors and bespoke joinery items ready for assembly; experience with staircases is advantageous.

A good command of written English and maths is required, with the ability to set up and operate workshop machines.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of bench joinery experience and Time Served Wood Machinist.
• Experience with cutting out, marking out and machining windows and doors for assembly.
• Staircase manufacture experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent written English and Maths; ability to set up and operate machines.

Flexible approach and able to work on own initiative or in a team within the workshop.

This position is for someone who is looking for the security of a full time position, working within an expanding company.

You will need to have an excellent grasp of all workshop based joinery especially for the manufacture of staircases, Windows, Doors etc. A good standard of written English and Maths is also required. Experience with setting up and using various machines.

Candidates should be confident to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. They should be reliable, flexible and have a good sense of humour!

Pay is subject to experience.
