Coulson Building Group in Cambridge is seeking an experienced machinist to join our busy joinery workshop. You will produce items such as door frames, staircases and traditional joinery from production drawings, using a range of woodworking machines.

Experience with CNC is helpful but not essential; the role requires a high standard of craft and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced machinist with joinery background.
• Ability to read production drawings and set up items from details.
• Good knowledge of purpose-made joinery and high craftsmanship.

Responsabilités

• Produce items such as door frames, staircases, external furniture and traditional joinery.
• Work from production drawings in a workshop environment.
• Operate woodworking machines (spindles, planers, saws); CNC experience is helpful but not essential.

Description du poste

Experienced machinist required to join our busy team producing bespoke joinery. Must have a good all round knowledge of purpose made joinery and able to work to a high standard. The ideal candidate will be able to produce items such as:

• Door frames
• Staircases
• External furniture
• Traditional joinery

This role is workshop based. Candidates should be able to work from production drawings and be competent using a variety of woodworking machines including spindles, planers and saws, experience with CNC’s helpful but not essential.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Must be educated to NVQ Level 2 as a minimum.
