Job summary

Prime Appointments in Witham is seeking reliable Bench Joiners or Cabinet Makers to join a manufacturing team. You will read drawings, assemble components and operate saws, routers and planers to produce finished timber products. A strong focus on quality ensures flawless textures ready for varnish or paint.

Hours are 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with up to £18 per hour. This is a temporary-to-permanent position offering stable long-term prospects for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in bench joining or cabinet making.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Willing to work with timber products on a production line.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and manufacture timber products.
• Read technical drawings to guide the build.
• Operate saws, routers and planers as part of the workflow.
• Sand, scrape and finish timber pieces prior to varnishing or painting.

The company are looking for experience people that are able to come in and get on with the task in hand.

They are offering up to £18ph, working 8am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

Bench Joiner duties:-

• Assembling components
• Reading from technical drawings
• Operating machinery
• Using saws, routers, and planers
• Sanding, scraping, and planing the final assembled timber products to ensure a flawless texture ready for varnishing, staining, or painting

This is a temporary to permanent position.
