Job summary

Prime Appointments is seeking an experienced Bench Joiner to join a small to medium sized joinery company just outside Benfleet. Immediate starts are available for a friendly, family-run and well-established team.

Role involves manufacturing high-end commercial interior fit-outs and residential joinery, including reception desks, doors, windows, and cabinets. You will work with various machinery, including spindle moulders, morticers, planers, cross-cut saws, belt sanders, and CNC wood machines,

Qualifications

• Experience as a joiner with high-end finish capability.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient in operating wood working machinery for commercial and residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high-end joinery for commercial interiors and residential work.
• Fabricate reception desks, doors, windows, cabinets, and wardrobes.
• Operate spindle moulders, morticers, planers, and belt sanders; use CNC wood machines.
• Apply traditional hand crafting techniques where needed.
• Read drawings accurately to ensure precise fabrication.

Job description

A small to medium sized joinery company based just outside of Benfleet are looking for a Bench Joiner to join their busy team.

Immediate starts are available to work for this friendly, family run and well established joinery company.

Pay is up to £18ph and the hours are 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Bench Joiner duties:

• Manufacturing high end products for commercial interior fit outs as well as residential work
• Making reception desks, doors, windows, cabinets, wardrobes etc
• Using various pieces of wood working machinery (including a Spindle Moulder, Morticer, Plainer, Cross Cut and Belt Sander)
• Use traditional hand crafting techniques
• Using CNC Wood Machines
• Read from engineering drawingsWe are looking for an experienced joiner for this position.

The role is to work 5 to 6 weeks, however if you get on well and the company remain busy, you could be kept on.
