Job summary

Market 36 Recruitment are recruiting experienced Bench Joiners / Cabinet Makers for a manufacturing company in Witham. You will read technical drawings and produce high-quality retail timber products.

Role requires experience with timber joinery, operating saws/routers/planers, and attention to detail. Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, temporary to permanent, up to £18 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous Bench Joiner or Cabinet Maker experience is essential.
• Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Experience operating woodworking machinery and using saws, routers and planers.
• Strong practical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and get on with the task at hand.
• Health and safety conscious.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to produce work to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Assembling timber components and products to specification.
• Reading and working from technical drawings.
• Operating woodworking machinery safely and accurately.
• Using saws, routers and planers.
• Sanding, scraping and planing final assembled timber products to achieve a flawless finish.
• Preparing finished products ready for varnishing, staining or painting.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Carrying out any additional tasks required for the effective operation of the department.
