Job summary

Quest Employment is seeking an experienced Bench Joiner for a bespoke joinery manufacturer in Kettering. The role involves producing windows, doors, stairs and other joinery from technical drawings in a modern workshop.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in joinery, be comfortable with joinery machinery and work independently in a busy factory environment. Full-time, permanent position with overtime and excellent on-site facilities.

Bench Joiner - Bespoke Joinery

Location: Kettering, NN16
Pay Rate: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
Annual Salary: £29,000 - £33,500 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, with the option to start at 7:00am and finish at 4:30pm

Experienced Bench Joiner Required - Kettering

Quest Employment are currently looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a well-established bespoke joinery manufacturer based in Kettering.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Bench Joiner who has previous experience working within a joinery shop or workshop environment. The successful candidate will join a modern production factory and work alongside an experienced team producing high-quality bespoke joinery products.

The position will involve producing bespoke windows, doors, stairs and general joinery using modern joinery machinery and equipment. Applicants must be comfortable reading and working from technical drawings and capable of working independently within a busy production environment.

Please note: Previous joinery shop or workshop experience is essential for this position.

The Role

As a Bench Joiner, your duties may include:

• Manufacturing high-quality bespoke joinery products
• Producing windows, doors, stairs and other bespoke joinery
• Reading and working accurately from technical drawings
• Operating modern joinery machinery and workshop equipment
• Measuring, cutting, assembling and finishing timber components
• Completing jobs independently, accurately and efficiently
• Ensuring excellent standards of quality and craftsmanship
• Assisting the wider joinery team when required
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures

• Have previous experience working as a Bench Joiner
• Have worked within a joinery shop, workshop or production joinery environment
• Are confident reading and working from drawings
• Have experience manufacturing bespoke joinery products
• Are comfortable using joinery machinery and hand tools
• Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in their workmanship
• Are able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Work effectively as part of a skilled team
• Can reliably commute to Kettering, NN16

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years joinery experience
• Previous bench joinery / workshop joinery experience is essential
• Carpentry experience would be beneficial, however applicants must have proper workshop or joinery shop experience
