Job summary

The Highland Council is seeking a Visitor Site Warden for the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for 6 months. The role is based on site at the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre.

You'll welcome visitors, help ensure safe operation, and promote the Scottish Outdoor Access Code while contributing to the Visitor Management Plan. You will engage with local organisations to foster a positive visitor experience and encourage donations.

Qualifications

• Current, clean UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• First Aid certificate.
• PVG scheme and safeguarding checks may be required before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors at the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre and ensure their safety and smooth operation.
• Promote the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and contribute to the Visitor Management Plan.
• Provide clear information and assist with infrastructure to enhance the visitor experience and encourage donations.
• Coordinate with partners and local organisations as part of a collaborative approach.
