Job summary

The Highland Council invites applications for a Visitor Site Warden at the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre. The post is 35 hours per week, fixed-term for 6 months, with salary £26,717 - £29,247 per annum.

A current UK driving license and First Aid certificate are required. You will welcome visitors, work with partners and communities, and promote the Scottish Outdoor Access Code while contributing to the Visitor Management Plan.

Qualifications

• A current clean UK driving license is required.
• First Aid certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• To provide a welcome to specific popular visitor sites managed by the Council and ensure their efficient and safe operation.
• To work in co-operation with other organisations, landowners and community.
• To promote the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and to contribute to the Visitor Management Plan.
• The key role is working with visitors & residents providing communication and infrastructure to enable a positive impression of the long distance routes and encourage donations and fundraising.
