Job summary

Bannau Brycheiniog National Park is seeking an Estate Warden to maintain grounds and assist with small-scale maintenance at the visitor centres in Brecon. The role involves safe use of tools, budget awareness and contributing to a welcoming visitor experience.

The post requires a full driving licence, the ability to travel between sites, and Welsh language Level 1. The role is based at the National Park Visitor Centre and Craig y Nos Country Park.

Qualifications

• Practical grounds, estate or property maintenance experience.
• Safe use of hand and power tools with health and safety awareness.
• Identify maintenance needs and prioritise tasks.
• Care for vehicles, plant, tools and PPE; carry out routine checks.
• Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers and the public.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel between sites.
• Welsh Language Level 1 is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out practical estate, grounds and property maintenance as allocated.
• Use initiative to report or address tasks observed during work.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in all activities.
• Maintain records of work carried out and budget monitoring.
• Contribute to welcoming visitors at the National Park centres.
• Support larger practical works with staff and volunteers.
