Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd is recruiting a Visitor Centres Estate Warden based at Brecon to maintain and enhance National Park grounds and perform minor building maintenance at the Visitor Centre and Craig y Nos Country Park.

You will work 37 hours a week, with a pro rata salary of £27,709–£29,071, and manage budgets, records and safety, while welcoming visitors and coordinating with staff and volunteers. Closing 4 November 2026; interview 10 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds, estate or property maintenance and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Understanding of safe working practices and health and safety requirements.
• Ability to identify maintenance needs, prioritise tasks and report issues promptly.
• Ability to care for vehicles, plant, tools and PPE.
• Strong communication with colleagues, volunteers, contractors and public.
• Ability to work independently and with others on larger projects.
• Ability to maintain records, monitor expenditure and update line manager.
• Positive approach at public-facing visitor sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out estate, grounds and property maintenance as allocated by the Commercial Manager.
• Use initiative to handle or report tasks observed during routine work.
• Ensure safe practices and compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Maintain vehicles, plant, tools and PPE.
• Contribute to cleanliness and presentation of grounds at visitor centres.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers on larger practical works.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Manage grounds maintenance budget and report to Commercial Manager.
• Welcome visitors at the National Park Visitor Centre and other sites.
• Undertake any other duty appropriate to the grade as required.
