Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Behavioural Teaching Assistant in Kingston Upon Thames to support students with behavioural and emotional needs. The role focuses on 1:1 and small group work, helping pupils engage with learning and develop coping strategies in a safe, inclusive environment.

The position is full-time, term-time only, with competitive daily pay and opportunities for ongoing training and career development. Prior DBS or willingness to obtain one is required.

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
  • Assist pupils in managing their behaviour and developing positive coping strategies.

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement tailored behaviour support plans.

Behavioural Teaching Assistant Required in Kingston Upon Thames

You will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them engage positively with their education and school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
