Job summary

Long Term Futures is seeking a Teaching Assistant in Kingston Upon Thames to support the class teacher and deliver targeted interventions for students with ASD and SEN needs. You will work with pupils from Year 1 to Year 6, including 1:1 and small group sessions, while ensuring a safe learning environment.

The role is a full-time, long-term temporary contract with weekly pay. Ideal candidates have a TA qualification and a creative, flexible approach to learning with strong rapport-building

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has a TA qualification preferred.
• Ability to adapt activities to diverse needs of children.
• Strong behaviour management and rapport with students across year groups.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with running of the class.
• Provide targeted interventions to students with ASD and other SEN needs.
• Support students from Year 1-6 in their curriculum.
• Provide 1:1 support and small group work.
• Ensure pupils are safe and secure at all times.

About the Role

• Teaching Assistants support the class teacher with the running of the class

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous

• Strong behaviour management and the ability to build rapport with students across all year groups
• Reliable and committed to a long-term placement
• Proven experience delivering targeting interventions
