Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking dedicated staff to join a Secondary Special Needs School in Kirklees as a Behaviour Support Worker / Sports Coach. Roles are full-time, ASAP start, with a Temp to Perm path for the right candidate. Pay is 110–150 GBP per day, Monday to Friday, 8:30–15:30.

Work involves 1:1 and small-group support, assisting the lead teacher with educational programmes, and facilitating inclusive activities for pupils with autism and challenging behaviours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teacher in implementing educational programmes and activities.

  • Assist with daily tasks and personal care where needed.
  • Support academic and social development of students.
  • Contribute to IEP development and monitor progress.
  • Support behaviour management strategies in the classroom.
  • Assist with classroom management and off-site activities.

Job description

Empowering Learning are working with a Secondary Special Needs School in Kirklees who are seeking Behaviour Support Workers/Sports Coaches to support in their classrooms on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. These roles are to start ASAP and are full time. For the right candidate, these roles are on a Temp to Perm contract.

Pay: 110- 150 a day Monday to Friday school hours 8.30 - 3.30pm

The school caters for Secondary pupils supporting Children with Autism and Challenging Behaviours and Mental Health.

You will be involved in classroom duties and off-site recreational activities.

Duties
  • - Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
  • - Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.
  • - Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • - Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
  • - Support students in their academic and social development.
  • - Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • - Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
  • - Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
Skills
