Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking Behaviour Support Workers/Sports Coaches for a Secondary Special Needs School in Kirklees. Roles are full-time, start ASAP, with a temp-to-perm path. Pay is £110-£150 per day, working school hours. The school supports pupils with autism, challenging behaviours, and mental health needs.

You will assist in classrooms and with off-site recreational activities, providing 1:1 or small-group support and contributing to inclusive education and student welfare.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
  • Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
  • Support students in their academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.

Job description

Empowering Learning are working with a Secondary Special Needs School in Kirklees who are seeking Behaviour Support Workers/Sports Coaches to support in their classrooms on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. These roles are to start ASAP and are full time. For the right candidate, these roles are on a Temp to Perm contract.

Pay: £110-£150 a day Monday to Friday school hours 8.30 - 3.30pm

The school caters for Secondary pupils supporting Children with Autism and Challenging Behaviours and Mental Health.

You will be involved in classroom duties and off-site recreational activities.

Duties
  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
