Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd. are seeking Behaviour Support Workers/Sports Coaches for a Secondary Special Needs School in Kirklees. Roles are full-time, ASAP start, with 1:1 or small group support. Roles are on a Temp to Perm basis for the right candidate.

The position involves assisting in classrooms, supporting students with autism and challenging behaviours, and helping with off-site recreational activities. Salary is £110–£150 per day, hours 8.30–3.30, Monday to Friday.

• Experience working with children, including those with special needs, is essential.
• Strong communication with students, parents and colleagues is important.
• Compassionate, adaptable and patient attitude is crucial for supporting learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher with educational programs and activities.
• Support students with special needs, including autism.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with daily tasks such as personal care and hygiene.
• Support academic and social development of students.
• Collaborate on IEPs and monitor progress.
• Assist with classroom and behaviour management strategies.
