Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours related to learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, and mental health issues. You will work in a school environment supporting children and young people requiring 1:1 assistance for various reasons.

Contract / Position Details:

• Location – Macclesfield
• Position – Behaviour Support Assistant
• Full-time, 8:30am to 3:30pm daily

Requirements:

• Experience working with children and young people displaying challenging behaviour
• De-escalation training (advantageous)
• Candidates from youth work backgrounds or similar roles are welcome
• Confidence in decision-making
• Excellent communication skills and ability to foster positive relationships
• Empathy and understanding
• Willingness to develop skills through professional training
