Salary: Competitive Dependent on experience

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support Worker, youll work with students to manage their behaviour, build trust, and engage them in meaningful learning experiences. If youre passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behaviours
  • Use physical activity and structured routines to engage students and improve behaviour
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with teaching staff
  • Support students in a calm, empathetic, and non-confrontational manner
  • Help create a safe and inclusive environment for all students to thrive

About You:

  • Previous experience as a sports coach, youth worker, or in behaviour management roles
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations
  • Empathetic, patient, and resilient personality with a passion for supporting young people
  • Experience working with SEMH students or those with additional learning needs is desirable, but not essential
  • A positive, solution-focused approach to supporting students in both academic and social development
